Drawing on his own experience as a repeat entrepreneur, Alex supports and advises portfolio companies on product-market fit, international expansion, hiring strategy, capital raising, and operational execution. Having scaled companies across multiple geographies, he brings a founder-first mindset and practical insight into the realities of hypergrowth.
Alex is also the co-founder and CEO of Deel, the leading payroll and HR platform for global teams. Founded in 2019, the company simplifies hiring, onboarding, payroll, and compliance for international workforces. Under Alex’s leadership, Deel has grown to 7,000+ team members across 110+ countries, has secured more than $1 billion in funding and serves more than 40,000 customers worldwide.
Alongside his work at Deel and Sarona, Alex Bouaziz is an angel investor in technology companies, including at Clickhouse, Ramp, Kalshi and Clay, and mentors other high-growth founders. He graduated from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and holds a Masters degree in civil and environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which informs his analytical and systems-driven approach to building companies.
